I was parked at a rest area after a 140 mile drive in my 1999 Dodge Durango 5.2L 4x4 SLT All 4 power windows died and all my power locks except the front passenger side. I have tried replacing the fuses and the 25Amp breaker fuse for the windows with no change. Not to mention this vehicle has been nothing but trouble since the day I bought it. It had 65,000 miles when I bought it and gose through oil like humans breathe I do a motor flush every oil change and filter and use marvel mystery oil with mobil one synthetic oil>>> so problem 2 is when in park you hear what sounds like valves slapping but when drive is engaged the sound decreases to almost normal my pressure stays on the high endand I only experienced the pressure bottoming out I hear about so much when I first bought it. I have heard that the oil loss problem is due to the plenum gasket and the metal on one side is aluminum and steel on the other and the heat expansion is different for the two metals resulting in poor gasket function if this is true what is the average cost of plenum gasket change, And I am at a loss with the windows and power locks I do most of my own automobile work and for others as well and would rate myself a 7 as a shady tree mechanic. HELP!!!!
